[Remote] Testing & QA Engineer (Leawood, KS or Arlington, VA)

As a Testing / QA Engineer, you will ensure that advanced AI and data software solutions meet the highest quality standards before deployment, playing a key role in validating system functionality, performance, and reliability. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for complex AI-enabled data platforms and applications. • Implement automated testing frameworks and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (arenaflex/CD) pipelines for robust regression testing. • Perform functional, integration, system, performance, and security testing to ensure mission-critical reliability. • Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure timely resolution.t • Participate in the code review process by validating and testing new features and bug fixes. • Create new tests during the code review process for new features and tweaks to ensure tests stay up-to-date with the codebase. • Validate data integrity and accuracy in large-scale data fusion environments. • Provide clear, actionable feedback to engineering and product teams to improve software quality and user experience. • Develop metrics and reporting dashboards to track quality trends, defect rates, and test coverage. • Ensure all QA processes meet or exceed standards required for defense and national security environments, including compliance with security policies and data handling protocols. • Mentor team members on QA best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering organization. Skills • Proven experience (4+ years) in software quality assurance, testing automation, or related roles within complex, data-driven systems. • Strong knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent). • Hands-on experience with arenaflex/CD environments (GitHub Actions), version control (Git), and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. • Familiarity with data-intensive applications, distributed systems, or AI/ML testing methodologies. • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills. • Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to engineers, product managers, and non-technical stakeholders. • Understanding of secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) practices and handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). • Commitment to collaborative teamwork and continuous learning in a mission-focused environment. • Industry experience in defense, intelligence, or other high-security domains preferred but not required.
