Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Pediatrics Float Pool
Location: Syracuse, NY
Assignment Duration: 15 Weeks
Pay Rate: Local: $2,001/week | Travel: $2,725/week


Schedule
  • Day Shift

  • 12-hour shifts

  • 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)

  • Every other weekend required

  • Some holidays required


Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 15-week assignment in an Inpatient Pediatric Float Pool within an acute care hospital. The RN will provide quality nursing care to pediatric patients across multiple inpatient units. The role requires strong clinical assessment skills, the ability to adapt quickly to different care environments, and effective communication with healthcare teams and patient families.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute care setting

  • Conduct patient assessments and monitor changes in condition

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system

  • Follow hospital policies and patient safety standards

  • Float between pediatric units based on staffing and patient care needs

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams


Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience

  • Recent acute care hospital experience

  • BLS certification

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma hospital

  • Experience in pediatric inpatient units

  • Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
